Montreal, Quebec, May 12, 2026 - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
The Government of Canada is taking action by supporting businesses as they diversify their markets in order to reduce risk, strengthen their economic resilience and consolidate their competitiveness to help them face tariff pressures.
It is in this context that Carlos Leitao, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for CED, will visit two businesses in the aluminum industry in Montreal's East End and announce CED funding under the Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI).
