Montreal Canadiens interim coach Dominique Ducharme tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss Friday night's Game 3 against the visiting Vegas Golden Knights, multiple outlets reported.
The best-of-seven Stanley Cup semifinal series is tied at 1-1.
A positive test would keep Ducharme away from the team for at least 10 days.
Ducharme's morning press conference was canceled Friday and he was said to be isolating at home due to some "irregularities" in his daily testing for the coronavirus.
Ducharme, 48, has received both of his COVID-19 vaccine shots, the Canadiens confirmed to the Montreal Gazette.
Ducharme guided the Canadiens to a 15-16-7 record after taking over for the fired Claude Julien during the regular season. Montreal followed that up with two playoff series wins -- a seven-game victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs and a second-round sweep of the Winnipeg Jets.
