Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry agreed to terms on a four-year, $25 million contract extension through the 2024-25 season, the team announced Friday.
The deal includes $8 million in signing bonuses, a 15-team no-trade clause and a full no-move clause, according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun.
Petry, 32, registered 40 points (11 goals, 29 assists) in 71 games this season. He collected two goals and an assist in 10 playoff games for the Canadiens, who upended Pittsburgh in the Eastern Conference qualifying-round before falling to Philadelphia in the first round.
Petry has recorded 253 points (69 goals, 184 assists) in 680 career games with the Edmonton Oilers and Canadiens. He was selected by the Oilers in the second round of the 2006 NHL Draft before being sent to Montreal in 2015 at the trade deadline.
