Thai beaches get thumbs up from holiday-makers
Out of a vote for the top Asian beaches, Thailand has won in seven out of ten categories.
The tripadvisor.com website has named the seven Thai beaches as Phi Phi Don Island, Lanta Island, Phangan Island, Tao Island , Kata Beach, Chaweng Beach and Bo Phut Beach.
The Traveller's Choice Awards are based on votes by the website's members across the world.
However, none of Thailand's beaches were first on the list.
That honour went to the Philippines' Boracay Beach, which won due to its beauty and popular diving spots.
