Europe loses oil argument to OPEC

Toronto News.Net Sunday 22nd April, 2012

OPEC countries have said they will not increase oil supplies to Europe, even though there have been requests for it to do so.

OPEC countries have decided that European consumers and producers should be able to cope with the current prices of oil and shortfalls from the boycott of Iranian fuel.

The European Union, along with other Western nations, placed an embargo on Iranian oil imports in January.

The sanctions pushed Brent Crude to above $128 a barrel in March, the highest since 2008.

Brent is currently around $119.00 a barrel.

There is no spare capacity in OPEC. That's why they're not going to send any more to Europe. Fin. Saudi is the only global 'swing producer.' So if they can't supply the oil lost by Iran, no-one can.

Yeah, it comes handy if you don't want to do what you cannot do...

That deserves the stupid European politician right.

Why increase production and lower the price you get per barrel? Better to leave more oil in the ground. Besides, all you get in return are worth-less US$'s or Euros.
