Motorists happier with gas prices
Gasoline prices in the United States have started to fall.
While prices were around $4 per gallon in early April, pump prices have now started to decline, dropping 6 cents over two weeks to a national average on Friday of $3.88.
It is expected further falls will ensue, heartening politicians and voters.
In a week. drivers should be paying less at the pump than they did a year ago.
Earlier this year prices hit a peak of $3.94. At the time, some economists were forecasting fuel at $5 per gallon.
Prices at the pump were accelerated by crude prices that have averaged $104 per barrel this year.
